Why Pocket Pedals?
BE READY TO GO IN SECONDS
Need to pop out to the shop or go for a casual ride with the family? Don’t spend time changing your clipless pedals for flats, riding uncomfortably in regular shoes on the clipless mechanism or being the only family member wearing cycling shoes.
Instead, just slide Pocket Pedals on and make your bike that much more practical in seconds without any tools or effort.
LEAVE THE CAR AND YOUR CYCLING SHOES AT HOME
Now that you don’t need to wear cycling gear to work, leave the car at home and enjoy a casual morning commute in your regular clothes. Leave the backpack with your change of clothes at home and instead show up to work ready to start the day.
USE YOUR FAVORITE BIKE MORE
Your road or mountain bike is light, fast and smooth. It’s light and easy to carry up a flight of stairs and much sharper in turns than any hybrid or city bike.
It’s probably the one bike that you most enjoy riding, so why settle for anything less fun on other types of rides?
EASY TO RECYCLE IF THEY EVER WEAR OUT
“I’m still riding on one of our final prototype pairs. They worked really well, so I just kept on using them, even after we launched. There’s still no sign of wear and tear.” – Karl Birgir Björnsson, founder of Pocket Pedals.
Pocket Pedals are made from material that blends rubber and plastic, making them tough, durable and flexible. With no other materials involved, they can easily be recycled.
DESIGNED TO FEEL LIKE A PEDAL
Pocket Pedals slide over your clipless pedals and hold themselves in place without using the clipless mechanism. They are symmetrical and have two flat platforms.
Unlike other adapters, you don’t need to flip them over before stepping on them and they won’t accidentally unclip when you turn your foot 45°.
MULTI PEDAL COMPATABILITY
Pocket Pedals are compatible with most Shimano SPD style pedals and Shimano SPD-SL pedals. From summer 2022, Pocket Pedals will also be available for Look Keo Classic 3 and 2 Max.
nice grip on a pedal
They do exactly what was advertised. They enable me to use my bike with normal shoes without having to change pedals. Fantastic!
A little stiff to put on, but much more convenient than having to change out the pedals
These are awesome. A massive upgrade from constantly changing pedals.
Work really well. Great design.
We purchased two pairs of Pocket Pedals to use on our road tandem with Shimano XTR pedals. We chose SPD pedals for the embedded cleats but wanted a solution for when we are casually riding and want to wear street shoes.
We used the Pocket Pedals for the first time on a family trip and generally worked as expected. The only issue I had (and my stoker did not) is the Pocket Pedals slipping. We were riding in a hilly area and I believe the issue is on my end when I may have tried to “pull up” on the pedal and did not return my foot squarely to the pedal causing the Pocket Pedal to open slightly and slip. Easy enough to fix at the next stop.
Just returned from a vacation after recently receiving my Pocket Pedals, and I couldn't have been happier to have them. They allowed me to go on long rides with my clip-less pedals/shoes in the morning, then head out on family rides later in the day (same bike, but with tennis shoes or sandals). Pocket Pedals will be part of my vacation packing list for years to come! Thanks much.
These fit on my spd mountain bike pedal very easy. It's pretty common sense. The similar looking parts fit together.
They are simply wonderful and easy to put on and take off.
I love riding in sandals at the beach. This marvelous invention does the trick. I dont have to bring spare pedals anymore
They work pretty well. Not as good as real flat pedals but they are convenient.
The Pocket pedals are amazing a person's foot stays in place, I'm very pleased with them.
Love this product. Was able to get rided on my dial sided platform/clipless pedals and just run my MTB pedals and quickly be able to switch between flats for errands and clipless for workouts.
Easy to install and your feet grip the pedals like no get out.
They give a wider platform than other conversion pedals I've used, and since they don't clip in, you don't have issues with float moving the pedal platform!
